Stripped of the title

Last night was the Pinewood Derby.  Chase has held the title for the last year as the champion, and he was ready last night to defend his title.  He designed his car to look like a hot wheels race car.  Last year his car was number 71.  This year he decided 72 was the lucky number.  Funny thing is one of the other boys also numbered his car 72.  What are the odds of that?
First thing was to Pit Stop to pick up a pit pass and for the official weigh in.
Once everyone was up to code, it was time to race!  They decided to do things a little differently this year and run a looser bracket at the same time as the winner's bracket (I think so everyone had more race time).
Chase's car ran the most races, and smoked almost every car.  It was a big crowd, and lots of judges.
He raced the final races with the winner of the looser bracket and it was close!  Good thing for cell phones with slow motion replay.  After several runs, and 4 or 5 replays by the judges, his reign was declared over.
So he stood proudly at second place.  The winner?  The other number 72...guess it was a winning number after all.
It was a fun night, and he is already talking about his car design for next year.
