Treasured Memories

Seems like my kids are growing too fast. These are the memories I want to remember always. Matt returning from work and Sadi clinging to him telling him about her day (okay not really but she's telling him something) and he is listening to every word.

Diaper Cake

What do you get for someone who is having their 5th baby? DIAPERS!! I saw these in Babies R Us (WAYYYY overpriced) and thought why would you buy that? It was so cute but how hard could it be to make? Turns out not hard at all. It took like 20 minutes to whip one out once I knew what I was doing. I made 2 of these, I think this one turned out the best (Sorry Staci you got the one layer cake). This is the view from the top. I have all kinds of ideas for my next one so who wants to have the baby so I can make them one? Anyone, Anyone?

For my Sister

I know alot of you have great sisters but I think I have the best!! This one is for you Susan!

SISTERS

God made us sisters,
Our hearts made us friends.
Love keeps us bonded
Thru thick and thru thin.

Being family
Gives permanent ties,
For which I am grateful
To be in your life.

Though our paths may lead
Down separate roads,
God gave us each other
To help with the load.

God had a great plan,
As He always does.
Growing together
Was the best for us.

I can't imagine
My life without you.
Sisters are for keeps
And forever true.

Spring Break

For Spring Break this year, I decided to brave the long drive to Utah with all three kids with me to spend the week with family. It was a great trip, here is some highlights of our vacation. We got there the night before Easter. Chase was smart enough to leave carrots out for the Easter bunny....And he was greatly rewarded....Look at all that stuff!!!
Easter morning was a chocolate madness!
Sadi was very excited, and even more so when she found some chocolate she could open herself.
Kelsey was very happy the bunny left her a new Twilight book, yes the only one she didn't already own.
And then it was time to hunt for eggs...here is Sadi discovering the chocolate she can open herself.
Chase loading up his firetruck Easter basket.
Kelsey finding the harder hidden eggs.
We spent Easter at Aunt Susan's house where she made an amazing dinner and all the family came over for another egg hunt. It was a fantastic day! Sadi is unfamiliar with stairs, and here she is on Susan's stairs crying because she only knows how to go up and couldn't get down.
Chase was glued to Jake as long as Jake could stand him. He wanted to be everywhere and do everything that Jake was doing. Sorry Jake that's what you get for being too cool!

We took the kids to the park the one day (and only day) that was warm and discovered that Sadi LOVES the swing. She just kept giggling, it was so cute.

This is sad this is the only picture I have of Tori and Kelsey together. They were with each other every second they could. Kelsey misses being with her already and can't wait to go back to visit.
I also took the kids to the aquarium in Sandy which was really fun, they all loved it. It is so hard to get good pictures there. Here is Chase checking out some of the fish.
Guess who he found? Nemo!!
They had a big "pet tank" where you could touch the stingrays and other fish. I don't think Kelsey ever got brave enough to touch one, you know the whole Steve Irwin thing really made her second guess how "gentle" they really are.
I loved how colorful and exotic they had all the walls in there, here they are in the jungle area.
I don't know what these fish were called, but they were Sadi's favorite. She was so mesmerised by them. I think she thought she was petting them.
Here is Chase and Kelsey near the sunken ship, pretty cool wall decor right?
It was a great vacation!! Thank you Bogies and Grandma and Grandpa for letting us stay with you and..............
Check out all your "stuff". Sadi really misses getting into other people's stuff!!

Egg-stra Egg-stra!!

We decided to decorate eggs a little early this year so that we can enjoy them all week...uggh. They're fun to dye and eat once and then I'm sick of them. You know the more kids you have though the more eggs you have to make. One dozen just doesn't do it anymore. The kids had a lot of fun this year. Here are the ones that made it to picture time.....I bought the ones with the little face stickers and I knew they would be a hit. Cute little Sadi made one to look just like herself...check out that face!
Chase's half done....
You can tell your kids are getting older when their eggs have boys names on them. At least it's fictional. I think we ended up with eggs of the entire Twilight cast.
The best part for Sadi...eating hers (of course only the white part) weird she won't even try the yolk since she loves yellow. Chase is the same way.
Anyone need eggs let me know we have plenty!!

Fooled?

First of April..used to love April Fools day growing up. I loved playing tricks on everyone. Chase and Sadi are too little to really get it but I had to try. I had planned to make a cup of "dirt" for dessert. Which is really just chocolate pudding with crushed up Oreo cookies (to look like potting soil) with gummy worms in it. I wasn't sure how I was going to give it to them so when they didn't finish their dinner that is when I told them "okay anyone who doesn't finish their dinner is getting dirt for dessert." Chase thought I was joking. Here he is checking out his cup of dirt. Sadi had no problem chowing hers down, and I thought later maybe I should not have told them it was dirt since it will be all to fun for her to try and eat real dirt outside this summer.
Chase said it's okay to eat the worm "it's dead".
