Bend it like Beckham...

Or maybe a turtle? Last weekend was Chase's first soccer game, I did not get any pictures because 5 minutes before the game my camera decided to die!! I was so mad!! I was able to get it back this weekend for game 2. Chase's team(the tigers) took on the sharks! Getting ready for game time and getting instructions from the coach:He started out the game being a defender..ended up keeping the other team from scoring a goal, yea! Doesn't he look so little in there? Ready to take on the action, not a great picture but that is his back side...he went on to steal the ball and make his very first goal!!! I'm not sure who was more excited us or him. He was so proud! He is looking forward to next week and "Defending" he says! It was a great game!

Run, run, fast as you can...

Yesterday Kelsey had her very first track meet. I took the kids to watch her compete. She did a great job, and is pretty fast. I was impressed! She competed in two events. She ran the 1600 meter relay, here she is at the end: She also got a "shot" at the shot put. Wish you could zoom in and see the smile on her face.
It was fun to watch her compete and the kids had too much fun watching (a.k.a. playing in all the dirt...gotta love Nevada!). Good job Kelsey!

Egg-stra special weekend

We had a fun Easter weekend. On Saturday we took the kids for a "surprise" visit to the mall. They didn't know where we were going or who we would be seeing. They were quite surprised to find the big white fluffy guy waiting to see them. Chase was not excited and while waiting in line told me several times he didn't need to see him. However he appeased me and and least let me get my photo with the bunny (can you tell by his face he was not really into it?). Shockingly Sadi was not at all afraid! After the traumatic experience for Chase we went home and did the traditional coloring of eggs. They were all to happy to showcase their favorite eggs for me.
They colored them in record time I must say and were ready to dig into them. 2 days later we still have wayyyy to many eggs!
I woke up Easter morning to get Sadi up and found Chase just standing in his doorway (scared me half to death as I opened my door and saw him just standing there). I think he was paralyzed with fear, he said he wanted me to make sure the Easter bunny was gone. Not sure how long he was standing there but I'm pretty sure it was quite awhile he is always the first one up in our house. After we got the girls up it was time to see if the bunny had come...and most importantly gone. He did come and left lots of treats and surprises! Sadi was all to happy with her new princesses.
After checking out what was left in their baskets they were off hunting for eggs. Seems like that last egg is so hard to find but we did find them all, I think..
It was a nice relaxing day. The kids played all day with their new toys, I cooked the traditional Ham dinner and we enjoyed time with the family before Daddy had to leave for work. Now they are off for a week for spring break, wish it felt like spring!
