Uncle David Visit

Uncle David came a few days before the 4th of July for a visit.  We love when Uncle David comes!  Matt and Kelsey had work while he was here so the kids and I got lots of Uncle David time.  We went shopping, out to lunch, and even went to the museum one day.

There really is so much to see there you can easily spend a few hours (or more).  I think David really enjoyed the gun room.

Chase picked out his favorite gun in there....the biggest one of course.

There are so many cool exhibits that represent Nevada, including the old mine and ghost town.

Of course lots, and lots of gambling memorabilia. 

We found the state fossil, Icthyosaur,

and the prehistoric mammoth.

The animal exhibit was under construction, so there wasn't as much to see there.  However Sadi did find this little stinker.

The last night David was in town we left the kids home and headed up to Reno to meet Matt for dinner on the Truckee river.

The river cuts right through downtown, and there are little shops and restaurants on both sides.  We ate at Campo, a little restaurant right on the river that Matt had eaten at before.

We had a nice dinner, and spent a short time exploring after we ate.  It was a fun adult night out.
