On Saturday Kelsey had softball all day so we decided to take Chase and Sadi to the big egg hunt in Carson City put on by the Governor. I had heard alot about it (all good) and it sounded fun. 12,000 eggs hidden on the baseball fields...how could that not be fun? Well....although it looked sunny it was windy and freezing! We had to stand in line for the kids until it was time for the hunt, which turned out not to be a hunt really just thousands of eggs scattering the field. The countdown and I joke you not the "hunt" was over in less than 30 seconds. Sadi made out with a whopping 2 eggs...with no candy, how fun.
At least we got a photo with the Easter bear? That was all OK, lesson learned right? No the fun didn't end there, it ended in the parking lot where we got stuck not moving for 40 minutes...and when we did move it took another 40 minutes to get out! I know a little about parking and I have to give the governor a HUGE F on moving traffic. There were plenty of officers there...just watching...on their horses!!! Hello!!! Matt made me blog about this so that we never, ever forget how not fun it was. Seriously tell your friends DO NOT GO. EVER.
Finally Easter morning arrived. Way to early...5:30. Any guesses who? Chase. I made him wait until 7 to wake everyone else which was pure torture (for both of us). That bunny did come and brought new baskets filled with fun, and sugar!
Chase was annoyed there were no eggs anywhere to be found (guess that bunny knew who would be up early huntin' before the girls). When we opened the blinds Sadi spotted some eggs outside. So it was off to hunt in the backyard, where there were plenty of eggs for everyone.
Daddy made us a big breakfast, and we spent the day playing angry birds,
coloring our new doodle pet ( which by the end of the day this purple bunny was colored entirely blue),
and the older kids took looong naps. Apparently 7 a.m. is still to early.
It was such a beautiful day we headed to the park to play some baseball. It was really fun and nice to have a big family when playing a baseball game. Daddy was convinced he could hit a home run which he did, by cheating!
The kids got lots of practice fielding all those "almost" balls.
And if you need someone to cover first, here's your girl...literally covering first.
It was a really enjoyable weekend and so nice to spend so much quality time with our kids. Hope you all had an enjoyable holiday.

Too bad about the egg hunt. We went to one of those back when Bailee was 2 or 3 in Riverton and it was the same way. Luckily we learned our lesson early and have never done another one like that:} Such cute baskets...I love the initials!! Glad to see you guys had a fun Easter break:}
Looks like you had a fun Easter. Yes, we have all done the Easter hunt that ended up to really be a hunt, with nothing in return. Tori seems to always score at those ones, maybe you should have taken her with you for a good luck.
Love you all, we missed you for Easter Dinner at the Bogie's House.
