It's beginning to look a lot like....

This weekend we took the kids out to dinner and then we went on the great Christmas tree hunt.  We found the perfect tree....right there in the Costco parking lot!  Okay it's a bit less glamorous than trudging through the snow, but it was still fun.  There were lots of trees to choose from, but this one we were told was Treezilla from our tree helper who popped in at the last second for a photo bomb.

Then it was off to do a little holiday shopping and pick out our ornaments for the year.  This has become a tradition for our kids picking out a new ornament for their tree.  Sadi had her heart set on an Elsa ornament which they haven't had in stock for weeks.  It was her lucky day...they finally had one!

Chase takes a long time to decide on his ornament, but can easily be swayed by anyone (case in point).  He FINALLY decided on a Darth Vader ornament but as we were walking away Matt said "I thought the storm trooper was cooler"....guess which one he picked?

We woke up the next morning and put on some Christmas music and started decorating.  The kids love decorating their own little trees.  I think Chase's was a little bottom heavy...

Sadi's little pink tree is getting fuller every year but she insists she doesn't want a different one.

I love opening that box of Christmas ornaments every year and seeing those cute little handmade ornaments from the kids.  As they get older, they only become more precious.  We lit up our big tree and I have been sucking in that delicious aroma.  Something about a real tree brings back so many great memories for me.

It's beginning to smell a lot like Christmas!
